The type of person that would go for something like this is a person that does not mind contact to the frame. So if you have a carbon fiber bike or you have a bike that's an unconventional frame, like a step through, you may need an adapter for the step through. more

Now we do have a mountain bike with some longer handlebars, but as you can see, if you're on a bumpy road, you're gonna be likely to make contact with that back window. Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Chevrolet Spark- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we have the Saris SuperClamp EX 2 bike platform rack. We're taking a look at how it fits on the 2020 Chevrolet Spark. So for the Spark, you do have limited options for bike racks because of your inch and a quarter hitch receiver, but that's okay because the SuperClamp EX still has that 60 pound per bike weight capacity, plus a lot of versatility for bikes of different shapes and sizes because of the dual wheel mount clamps. The downside to this bike rack is it is gonna be a bit wobbly. Adding that to your inch and a quarter hitch receiver, you will experience a lot of movement on the road. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Kia Seltos- Video
Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at how the Inno Tire Hold HD Bike Rack fits the 2023 Kia Seltos. Right off of the bat, the Inno Tire Hold HD is what you'd be looking at if you want something that has a super high weight capacity for heavy electric bikes, but also has that dual wheel mount style to make it much easier to carry those bikes. The downside for how this fits on the car though is it doesn't tilt down far enough to open up the hatch if you have mountain bikes. So that is something to be mindful and we'll talk about in this video. But the perks are is that it sits low enough to the ground to make it a lot easier to load and unload those bikes. more

Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Tacoma- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Kuwait Transfer 3-Bike Carrier on our 2022 Toyota Tacoma. You'll notice that our Transfer is a wheel mounted bike carrier where you have a contact point with the front hook that ratchets down to keep the front of your bike down and a rear cradle and strap to secure your bike. The type of person that would want to go for a wheel mounted carrier is a person who owns a bike that has a unconventional frame or possibly a carbon fiber bike frame that's going to secure your bike without having any contact points to the frame itself. The best feature of the Transfer is the fact that you can actually open the arms outward, where you can step on the inside so you don't have to lift over a bunch of things to load your bike. So, you can load this guy, the second one and the third. In this case, it's just one. more

RockyMounts GuideRail 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Tacoma- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com taking a look at the Rocky Mounts Guide Rail on our 2022 Toyota Tacoma. The Guide Rail is a wheel mounted bike carrier that basically is gonna work well for anyone that has a bike that they don't want contact to the frame or is not possible like a unconventional frame or a step through bike. Also, if you have a carbon fiber bike frame, you really wouldn't want a hook pulling down on your frame, so you're secured by a front and rear strap. Another really cool thing about the Guide Rail is the fact that it has staggered trays, so it's gonna allow you to basically set the distance between your bikes to minimize handlebar interference. So another really cool feature, you don't necessarily have to have, your support arms symmetrical, so it allows you to offset the distance between the bike frame and the seat post. The Guide Rail can support a bike up to 60 pounds, so that'll work well if you have an e-bike. more

If you have a carbon fiber bike or a step through bike or a different style frame, may not be the best option. A wheel-mounted carrier may be where I would guide you, but if you're okay with that contact, this is gonna be one of your three points of contact. Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack Review - 2023 Audi Q5- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E-Bike Carrier on the back of our 2023 Audi Q5. The Destination lands at a point where you getting a lot of really solid features. As far as securing your bike to the carrier, you have this loop back here where you generally have a mast, that allows you to make adjustments for, basically, any style frame. Only thing I noticed is that with the way the arm reaches across, you're going to want to have to figure out what the best position is for your particular setup, but it does give you the flexibility to make that work, however you need. Your capacity is 70 pounds per bike. Your wheel base is 50 inches and you can support a wheel up to 29 inches, as small as 20. more

The Destination is a very cost effective way to move four bikes, as you see on the back of your vehicle. It's gonna take up a lot of space, but a couple things to consider if you, before choosing this bike. As you see, it's a mast mounted bike carrier, so it's gonna make contact with your frame. So if you have a carbon fiber frame, fancy paint job and unconventional style, this carrier wouldn't be the best option for you. Overall it's still one of my top picks as far as moving four bikes in a more cost effective way. more

So it's got a lot of different uses. It's gonna hold onto our bike primarily with these frame hooks here, as well as two straps, one on the front and one on the back wheel. So we do make frame contact and we would recommend against using carbon frame bikes. more

The MHS is a wheel mounted bike carrier that secures your bike by clamping down on the front and rear tire using the pivoting locking arms. Essentially this is gonna work for the person that has a unconventional bike frame, something with a nice paint job or a carbon fiber bike as well. So because there's no contact being made to the frame at all, and the bike's still very secure by the wheels. Your capacity is 80 pounds per bike on the back of your carrier. Loaded, you can see that this guy will kind of block some of the back of the vehicle as far as your tail lights, your backup camera and your license plate, and a portion of your back window as well. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack on our 2019 GMC Acadia. This bike rack is gonna be great for carrying those extra heavy electric bikes as you can carry up to 70 pounds per bike. It's also gonna be great if you have a motor home fifth wheel travel trailer, or if you wanna flat tow this on your journeys as well. It's gonna be made out of a steel construction, so it's gonna be very durable, lasts a long time, and it's finished with a black powder coat, making it rust resistant. Since we are being held on by the frame mount, it's not gonna be great for your carbon frame style bikes as it might work or damage the frame. Something to keep in mind. more

The Sport Rider is a very capable carrier that can support up to 80 pounds per bike, and as far as your wheel base up to 60 inches of tire diameter up to 29 inches. In general, this is going to cover a lot of bases. It's super adjustable. It, one thing I would say is a negative though, is gonna be, there is a lot of points that you have to touch to make those adjustments. But after you have it set up to your particular bike, it makes it a lot easier. more

Today we have the three bike version, but you can get this as a two or four bike version. Another thing I'd like to add that this is a pretty heavy carrier, close to 100 pounds, and the Cadillac doesn't have a super high tongue weight unless you have the trailering package. If you have the trailering package, then this one's gonna be just fine for you. more

As far as on the back of the Q5, as you see just with one bike, it is kind of blocking out a part of your taillights, a portion of your license plate, as well as your backup camera. If you had two bikes on there, you know it would, I would say it'd be even worse as far as obstructing your view, so you just wanna be aware of that on the back of your vehicle. more

So this is a heavy duty platform style rack. It can accommodate bikes up to 70 pounds per bike. It's not just for electric bikes, here we have a mountain bike, but you can carry your thin wheels, pretty much anything as long as it's under 70 pounds. And it's not carbon frame 'cause you have a frame mount here and it is made out of a steel construction, making it durable and finished with a black powder coat making it rust resistant. Swagman E-Spec 2-Electric Bike Platform Rack Review - 2022 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman E-Spec two-bike platform bike rack on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. First thing we need to do is install the bike rack itself, which we'll just start by putting our shank into the receiver here, doing our best to line up the holes as we can. Once we've done our best to align the hitch pin hole with the hole on our receiver tube, we can start to thread our anti-rattle bolt into it. Most of these anti-rattle bolts including this one, we should be able to hand thread a pretty good portion of the way, but you might have to lift up and down on the actual bike rack to do so. If you start forcing the threads in with your socket wrench, eventually after multiple uses, you can start to unthread the actual anti-rattle bolt. more
